It's been a week since my last update on the haze situation. The PSI levels are still generally quite high though it has been fluctuating quite a bit over the past week, and the swings in the levels are really huge. There have been days when it was above 200 or even 300 and then some days between 100 to 200. However, the skies still look blurred and it does not look like the situation is going to improve any time soon, with the source of the problem still not removed. Those days when the PSI dips below 200 do offer some glimmer of hope, but the PSI soon shoots back up again.
Having said all that, I have been seeing people outdoors swimming and jogging. In fact, quite a lot of people, even children! That is worrying. However, I have also seen more people with their masks on while outdoors as well, even students at my school. That really is helpful as I would not be like "the odd one out" when I put on my mask. Although this shouldn't really bother me actually, health comes first! Hopefully, the increase in number of people putting their masks on means that more people have gotten their hands on some supply of the masks. It is really worrying to see people out in the open without masks.
Well, the haze is here and there's not much we can do about it. However, we can take measures to ensure that we don't get too affected by it. Do drink lots of water and put on your masks as much as possible when you are exposed to the air outside. Also, refrain from too much activities outdoors and do have lots of rest. I sure hope the haze goes away soon.
When the letter N and the letter S come together, it's a whole new world out there
