Continuing where I left off from my previous post, me and JL were walking around in Tampines Mall and soon there was nothing much else to do there. We grew bored and I wanted to explore more of the east, so we took a bus to East Coast Park - Bus 10. However, our surroundings started to get a little unfamiliar after a while, even to JL. We were clearly lost and so alighted and changed to bus 31.
We got to East Coast Park around 1330 and then it was my turn to give directions. I wanted to go cycling and so led JL to the bicycle rental shop which I usually go to. It was a really long walk there and I then realised that where we had alighted was very far from where I usually cycle haha... As I walked, I became aware just how hot it was that day. Still, I was very eager to go cycling. It has been quite some time since I last cycled at East Coast Park.
I selected a bike quite quickly and then picked a similar one for JL. Haha, this sure saves time in picking and choosing. We paid the rental fee, $17.00 for two hours, and then headed out to cycle. JL did mention to me some time before that he did not know how to ride a bicycle. As such, I was observing him a little, wondering if he would need help. Surprisingly, he seemed quite all right balancing on the bike and even riding out onto the path. I later realised that he only had difficulty balancing when he needed to turn... haha oh well.
Thus, I cycled in front of him to help ensure the path ahead was clear and also kept turning back once in a while to ensure he was keeping up, We didn't cycle very long nor ride very far given that there was a time limit of two hours. Moreover, it was a Sunday and the whole stretch of East Coast Park was really crowded. We soon started heading back to the rental shop, returned the bicycles and made the payment. Then, we left ECP. It was 1600. First time cycling with JL - checked!
Next up, we were going to head to Parkway Parade. We took bus 43 this time after getting out of ECP, back all the way we had walked earlier on in the day. We got to Parkway Parade at 1630. That was probably the first time I was there, or at least the only time I remember being there and the mall looked huge! Like really huge! There was Isetan, Cold Storage, Giant and Mark's and Spencer all in one mall... Wow! We walked around a little of course, but given the size of the mall, we didn't cover the whole mall. After Parkway Parade, it was Katong 112 next.
We got to Katong 112 by walking through this other mall called Roxy Square. Again, these were malls I had no memory of ever having visited. Orhmagawd... the carpeted flooring of 112 was really interesting haha! I don't think I've been to a mall with carpeted flooring before. Again having not been there, we walked around a little then went up to Food Republic for some light food. Although we only wanted a light snack after all our travelling, we still ate quite a little too much. After our quick meal, we sat there and rested for a while, playing some Sudoku, until it was 1830. Then, we decided to walk around some more and eventually found ourselves at the Aqua Playground, It was once again another place which was quite cool, literally and otherwise, haha! There was water everywhere, only that it wasn't flooded like in a swimming pool.
It was already really cold in the air-conditioned Katong 112 Mall, When we went outside, it was not much better, thanks to the strong winds whipping and howling around us. Brrrr... It was time for dinner by then and since we had already come all the way to this part of the east, Katong Laksa was a must! When we got to our destination, I could see that there were at least three shops selling Katong Laksa around us. I was following behind JL and finally stopped at this shop called 328 Katong Laksa. I decided to just have whatever JL was getting for himself as he knew that place better, and so two medium bowls of Laksa became the first item on our order list. We also ordered lime juice, one for each of us. When I saw that there was Otah on the menu too, there was no need to think twice about adding that to our order as well. I soon realised that almost all the other tables had a plate of Rojak while waiting for our food to arrive. I went and got a plate of that as well, some appetizer to warm our tongues up to taste awesome food.
As we waited for our food, I vaguely recalled having had Katong Laksa before a long long time ago. It might have been here in this shop, or an older shop before this one we were sitting in now. Anyways, I sure remember that the younger me then was still not accustomed to having spicy food and Katong Laksa has since then been edged in my mind as something I did not like. I was going to get a new experience eating Katong Laksa this time though, one which would add Katong Laksa into my list of favourite dishes.
Needless to say, our orders soon came and we gobbled them up. Surprisingly, not only did the Laksa not seem as spicy, I even added more chilli to spice it up! It was truly delicious, a very satisfying meal indeed! The end of our meal meant the end of my trip to the East for now. I will be back!!
When the letter N and the letter S come together, it's a whole new world out there

Journey to the East (Part One)
I guess you guys must have heard of Journey to the West right? A Classical novel of Chinese literature. Well, I took a little trip to the East and spent some time there just yesterday. East region of Singapore I mean. I'm not writing about my journey there, but what I did when I got there, haha.
I set off from home at 0850 and took an MRT all the way to the Simei. I was to be meeting up with JL there to try out some pancakes made by his Mum. Thus, that was my breakfast yesterday - pancakes! That was at Hola Cafe which is right next to Simei MRT station. It was my first time there yesterday and I had thought that we would need to take a bus to get there from Simei MRT station when I first heard JL talking about it. Well, it turned out that the coffee shop was only a stone's throw away, literally. That was also the first time I got my breakfast "indented" for me as I got a treat from JL.
There was such a huge variety of flavours and fillings for me to choose from that I was really spoilt for choice. After I had selected a couple of different flavours, I stood there to watch the pancakes being made. The pancakes were made fresh upon ordering and arrived piping hot and looked crispy. I certainly could not wait to tuck in, yums! When I finally got to try out the pancakes, they really tasted so good that I couldn't stop eating haha! I really loved the soft fluffy, yet crunchy texture of the pancakes, and the wonderfully tasty toppings as well of course. Even after I was done eating, I still craved for more. However, I guess I will have to wait until next time to satisfy those cravings...
Most of the time, the pancakes we get from outside are made much earlier and are no longer fresh and crispy when we buy them. I guess that was what differentiated those pancakes from the ones JL's mum makes. The pancakes aside, I got to meet JL's parents as well who were both there helping out.
After breakfast, JL and I took an MRT to Tampines seeing as it was still early. We then went to Tampines Mall where I managed to buy a new pair of trunks at a 35% discount. The original price was $30.50 but I only paid $19.80 for it! Great deal eh?

Good food, good day!
It is Monday again today(actually almost over already as I write), and I've had yet another great weekend doing stuff that I like and filling my stomach with food that I enjoy. I was out with JL again of course!
First up, we met up at Mount Faber SAFRA for breakfast at Ya Kun. Haha, yes! Ya Kun again! Of course, I had my favourite soft boiled eggs with toast and Milo once again. Then, we had a swim after a short rest.
After our swim, we were quite at a loss what to do next. Haha, we had only planned to go swimming that day but had no plans after that. The other problem was that Mount Faber was quite in the middle of nowhere with no malls in its vicinity. Thus, we couldn't just hop into a nearby mall to spend our time there.
After considering some malls which were nearby(though still quite a distance away), we finally decided to head over to Vivocity via bus as there were buses heading there from where we were. We got to our destination soon after and were famished by that time, especially after our swim. I managed to convince JL to splurge a little and we had Japanese cuisine for lunch, exactly just what I was craving! Then, we went to 'Honeymoon Dessert' to have some dessert, another of my cravings.
Having had so much delicious food, we then went to do some window shopping after that.
Later in the evening, we then went to lepak at 'Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf' until quite late. The MRT was running until quite late that day as it was the Hari Raya weekend. A coffee to keep our energy up for the night was definitely the right choice after the long day we had. I wonder when we would get to hang out until that late again.
Alright, ciaoz! Till next time...

Day of Fun
It was Saturday yesterday and I was once again out with JL, in the Northern region of Singapore this time. We visited Yishun SAFRA as we had planned to go to all five SAFRA clubs, and this was the third one we visited. What did we do there? Swim, of course! Haha!
We had our breakfast at the Ya Kun outlet at North Point before heading over to SAFRA. When I arrived at the North Point shopping mall and had not received any notice from JL that he had arrived, I thought I was early, which was really rare by the way. However, even as I fished out my phone to notify him that I had reached before him, I got a message from him. As it turned out, he had also just arrived. Damn, why couldn't he let me be early for once, haha. Turned out my "sense of victory" was for nothing.
So to Ya Kun we went and it took a while before we got a table. I ordered my usual, french toast with two half- boiled eggs, and the piping hot Milo. How I miss having breakfast at Ya Kun, especially those eggs! After our meal, we then headed to Yishun SAFRA Country Club via bus as we didn't want to get lost walking. It was indeed our first time in this part of the north. It wasn't long before we got to our destination and we headed straight for the pool.
After our swim, we decided to spend a little more time hanging around the north and thus headed back to North Point to walk around the mall. After some walking around, I noticed a Popular bookstore and we went in as I remembered that there was something I needed to get. However, whatever it was that I had wanted to buy slipped from my mind and I ended up getting some books on idioms and chinese sayings as I thought it might come in useful for my tuition lessons.
We soon left North Point and trained back towards Dhoby Ghaut. On the way there, I browsed through the new books I had bought and ended up having a sort of lesson on chinese sayings on the MRT. With JL misinterpreting some of those phrases, or coming up with his interpretations, that MRT ride turn out to be super hilarious... lols!
It was almost time for dinner by the time we got to Dhoby Ghaut. As I wanted to have some "good" food but JL wasn't keen on digging too deep into his pocket, he suggested we try out this place called Saizeriya which served cheap and good western food, the kind that I had in mind like steak or fish and chips...So back into the MRT we went and this time we alighted at Raffles Place. We then walked along the river to Liang Court where Saizeriya was. The food items were indeed not as pricey as most other restaurants and the food wasn't too bad either. The hamburger steak I had might not have been very good, but it was still not too bad. The other dishes we ordered were also quite on par with most restaurants. Most importantly, there was no service charge and there was free flow drinks with a reasonable price of $2.80 with any food item ordered. There was quite a variety of drinks available too.
We were feeling rather overwhelmed with food after our meal and so decided to take a walk along Clarke Quay and the Singapore River to ease the discomfort in our tummies. I do like such walks which are really relaxing. Indeed, it was breezy and cool as we walked along the river taking in the sights and sounds of the Saturday evening. As we neared the mouth of the river, we noticed a certain light show going on with laser lights shooting down from MBS. It felt kind of random to us at that moment when we noticed that light show as we had never seen it before. I later found out that the light shows are a weekly spectacle. It sure was such a coincidence that we managed to catch that light show. I sure want to watch that light show again haha!
As it was still not really late yet, we went to the Mac's at Raffles City to have a drink, but it was filled with late night diners. We had to walk up and down between the tables for quite a while before we got a table. After we finished our drinks, we then parted ways once again at the MRT station. It was a long day out but was also a day full of fun and enjoyment having new experiences and trying out a different dining venue.
The hour's late and me tired so... ciaoz!

NDP Nostalgia
Yupp... Hi once again! It's the weekend again and National Day had just passed. As usual, I stayed home for the National Day Parade on TV. Once again, it was really just the front segment of the whole Parade that really got my interest. The rest of the show was really just the performances.
Hahas, talking about the front segment, it was really quite a different experience watching that segment after having been enlisted. Most of the stuff during the marching was suddenly familiar and it was so much more interesting to watch it. Then, the performances came on but still, I kept the TV on. Lucky I did because the singing of past year NDP songs soon came on and I was suddenly filled with the exact same excitement of the eight, nine year old me when I was in school. Every time these NDP songs were played in the school hall on NDP eve every year, I would have this great happiness and excitement that fills my whole being and have an overwhelming urge to sing along. Well, from what I recall, I was more of shouting and hollering the songs rather.
Hahas, from the bits of flashes of past NDP celebrations in my memory, I clearly recall myself shouting out NDP songs over the huge din in the school hall. Well, no one would hear me anyways. Hahas, and it was this same feeling that overwhelmed me on Thursday while I was lying in my living room and I had this urge to sing out the NDP songs just like before. Well, I did sing, though not as loud hahas!
Then, while I was walking around in a shopping mall on Friday, I once again heard NDP songs being played. Of course, I started singing once again and this time I also felt like a primary school kid again singing and shouting these NDP songs with friends and family every NDP. Well, I guess I would call this the NDP nostalgia! Finally, I have found something to look forward to every NDP, these memories of my school days locked away, only to be set free with the playing of NDP songs each year. Now I'm looking forward to the next NDP, looking forward once again to the NDP nostalgia!

Working up the muscles...
Hahas, I've been working out my body a little recently with some crunches and push ups. Each set consists of 25 of each workout and I do 4 sets each day. I've tried doing it daily and it seems to work in building up my muscles a little. So I'm going to continue with it hahas. Well, at least my abs and biceps feel worked out after the workout so I'm certainly hoping this works:)

No half day
Hahas heys! It's the 8th of August once again... Yupp!! It's National Day eve again!
Haizz.... However, I'm no longer a student and there's most certainly no half day off from work for me today:( Somehow, this makes me really miss the times while I was in school. Hahas, this is the first time lol, that I'm not getting a half day off on National Day eve.

Engulfed in the Arts!
It's Sunday night once again! Wow... and another awesome weekend has gone by once again, spent with my awesome buddy JL of course! So we met up as usual yesterday, on Saturday. However, we didn't go swimming this time. My buddy had said that he would be doing some dance practices today with a group of his friends and asked if I wanted to have a look. Hahas, how glad I was! It's been quite some time since I had seen anyone dancing, what more it's Kpop dance! Hahas, how I love watching these really hyped- up dances. It was going to be an interesting day!
So we met up at around 0930 at Bugis MRT station. Lol... I was late once again!! Well, JL waited well over thirty minutes for me mann! Anyways, we then walked to the recently re- vamped Bugis Plus mall for breakfast at Mac's. Hahas, it was only when I got there that I realised just how long it's been since I last had a breakfast at Mac's. It's been so long! I made my order of hotcakes with coffee as usual and sat down to eat with JL. Hahas, pictures of our breakfast were captured as well of course.
After breakfast, we then headed towards Laselle School Of The Arts. I then suggested that we made a booking for seats in Kuishinbo, a Japanese buffet restaurant that JL wanted to bring me to, so as to avoid disappointment. I made the call and we were then assured that there will be seats for us. I was so excited... hahas! Since we were headed towards Laselle, we made a detour to the "guan yin" temple for a little while. Little did we expect that the wonderful clear skies were going to darken suddenly and there would be a downpour! Omg! We were stuck in the temple and as time ticked by... we were also going to be late for the dance meet.We did our prayers and offered joss sticks. Then, there was nothing else we could do but wait. The dark clouds had brought along with it a huge downpour and we were sure to be drenc
hed even if we made a dash for it. Thankfully, this seemed to be just a passing downpour and the pouring soon diminished to a light rain. We then took the opportunity to make a dash out of the temple and headed for Laselle. I had a rough idea which building Laselle could be and we were thus able to find our way there. I had ever only seen the building from the outside but never been in there before. Once I stepped in though, it was starkly obvious that this is the place for arts!
It wasn't like there were rooms labelled ART, MUSIC or DANCE. However, the design of the place was so rich in creativity and originality that the arts part of me overwhelmed me suddenly. Soon, JL had met up with his friends and dance practice began. Watching them dancing, and hearing the upbeat Kpop songs booming out of the speakers, I felt myself being enveloped by the artistic side of me and I had to stand and bounce to the rythm. Soon, I even felt like having a pen in my hand so that I could doodle or scribble on something. My right brain was totally hyped up mann!!
It was really refreshing watching them dance lol. It really brought the beat back to my feet haha! They were all so natural doing those moves that it sure was quite a sight. I sure was glad I got to see this, it was all so wonderful haha! As I watched on, it was obvious there was one of them leading the others. Haha... that was JL of course! He was so well rehearsed in the dance moves that it all seemed to come so naturally to him. And boy, he was a natural in dancing haha! My awesome JL bro!
It soon came time for me and JL to leave for dinner though and we headed to Kuishinbo Suntec via MRT.
We soon got to Kuishinbo, got our seats and immediately made our way to attack the sumptuous buffet that awaited our empty stomachs. There was really such a great variety of Japanese food in Kuishinbo ranging from the raw to the cooked, sushi to servings of meat and vegetables, from the stewed to the boiled to the fried... everything was there. Hahas and most importantly, there were desserts too! I was so ready to tuck in to my food hahas! A must have food item there was apparently the snow crab which was served cold. It certainly was huge too! JL then showed me how it was to be eaten when we got back to our table. Hahas, this was probably the first time I'm eating crabs this way. It was kinda fun! We had cold prawns too which JL really loved haha! Those were juicy and big so it was yet again a wonderful start to an AWESOME dinner,
Not long after, a waitress came over and served us two halves of a mini lobster. We were puzzled and informed her that we didn't order that. We were then informed that this was a plate of complimentary lobster for us as we made an early booking for a table. Hahas, that was when I remembered seeing a notice on the Kuishinbo website saying that it is much appreciated if diners make a pre booking for table before going to the restaurant. Hahas, so we were being rewarded for being obedient:) Haha!
Hmm... there was something interesting about Kuishinbo too. Throughout our meal, there would be occasions when the over- head speakers would blare out the jingle "Dong, dong, dong... I love Kuishinbo, I love Kuishinbo, I love Kuishinbo..." During these occasions, JL would then stop me enjoying my dinner and rush me off to join the crowd rushing off for I dunno wad lol! It was later that I understood that the jingle being played out every now and then meant that something special was being served. But we had to be quick coz it was on a first come first serve basis and there being so many people around, I didn't get any. Well, it was some special desserts mostly. I felt it was quite interesting haha!
Lol, then there was the sashimi. While taking some sashimi, I had thought to share them with JL so I took a little of each type of different sashimi available. JL did inform me that he didn't take tuna so I didn't get too much of that. I did notice though that there were quite a few "different" types of sashimi that were of the same colour as the tuna. Still, I didn't bother asking what they were. It was when I got back to our table that I realised that I had taken many many slices of tuna which I had thought were other types of fish lol! There were different markings and lines on the slices that I had thought them to be different kinds of sashimi. Seeing as it was all tuna, I had to finish all of them on my own... lmao! I would definitely cower at the sight of tuna for quite some time after this.
We soon filled our stomachs with all the wonderfully delicious and interesting food. Thus, it was time for desserts. We had to hurry as well though as we needed to move on to our next destination which was to be Gardens By the Bay. Anyways, as I had told JL, a special empty area is always opened whenever I get to the desserts time in a buffet. Haha... so we picked quite a few of the more interesting desserts and set to fill our already filled stomachs lol. We then left after having desserts and headed for Gardens By the Bay. Hahas, it was fitting that we chose that destination. Our stomachs were so overloadeded with food we had to go for a long long walk to allow all that food to digest.
We had to walk back down CityLink to get back to City Hall MRT to get a train though. After which, we then took a train to Dhoby Ghaut MRT and then we were clueless how to get to Bayfront station which was the station nearest to Gardens By the Bay. We then walked from the North South Line area of Dhoby Ghaut MRT to the Circle Line area and asked the service counter staff there how we could get to Bayfront station.Lol, the counter staff seemed quite irritated and rambled off some instructions which I didn't really get. Seeing that I didn't quite comprehend his instructions, he then rummaged for a small little pocket sized folded up map of the MRT lines and passed it to me, telling me the instructions were inside. All the while, he wore a really irritable expression though. I was thinking that the staff was really unfriendly and not at all cut out to work in the service sector when I saw more and more people, coming one by one to ask for directions to Gardens By the Bay. Ohh... so that was why he wasn't too happy to help us. We were most certainly not the first visitors to ask for directions to get there. Moreover, this was a Saturday and I could only imagine the number of people making their way there lol! I flipped open the map thinking that even then, giving us yet another map when there were so many around the station was almost pointless. It was then that I saw clear instructions in the map on how to get to Bayfront station. Ohh... so that's why he gave us the map!
So we took a train from Dhoby Ghaut to Promenade station via the Circle Line and then changed a train to get to Bayfront station. Once we got to Bayfront station, getting to Gardens By the Bay was not a problem. There was signs around giving us clear directions to get there. As this was the first time that we were at the Gardens By the Bay, we thus decided to have a walk around just to get a feel of the place. It was late in the night by then and so it was of course dark. Even then, I could still make out many interesting things along the pathways that we walked with the dim moonlight overhead. Hahas, mostly there was just vegetation... lol plants lahh. Both artificial and live ones though. It was really quite fun just walking through the plants in the quiet of the night. We did, as expected, see many people too. Most were like us, having a late night stroll in the park, enjoying the cool and quiet night life in the park. Others were sitting on benches, perhaps taking a break from all the walking, while yet others were "wrestling" with each other on the benches thinking no one could see them in the dark.
As me and JL walked deeper and deeper into the park, we soon got to the heart of the park and even to the side of a huge lake. Well, at least it looked huge, though it was too dark to see how big it really was. That was also about the time that we got quite lost being so deep in the park and we were walking around mostly aimlessly. But we did have an aim though... that was to get back to Bayfront MRT station in time to catch the last train at least. Hahas, so we were walking around aimlessly but in the direction of Bayfront MRT station though. Still, we did get pretty lost along the side of the lake. Lol... that was really hilarious haha! It was like we were on an island in a city, and losing our way there lol! Super hilarious lmao!
After a very long walk, and a long time spent together, it came time to head back to Bayfront MRT station as the time neared 2330. We thus got back to Bayfront MRT station and trained back to Promenade station. Then, it was Promenade station to Dhobu Ghaut MRT station and then finally back to City Hall MRT station.
Once again, we parted ways at City Hall MRT station to go in the opposite directions. Both of us had a journey of 11 stops exactly ahead of us... the night was still young hahas! We would still be together through the journey via our smses and then back home to cam. Hahas, I was looking at the MRT system map some time later and realised that JL could have taken the Circle Line all the way to Paya Lebar station and then trained home from there which was faster for him. However, wanting to be in my company for a slightly longer period of time, he thus chose the longer route lol. Hahas, thanks JL!
Mann... we counted an realised that we spent more than 14 hours together today. Wow... this is most certainly the longest day we've spent together since our first outing uhh. Cheers... me and JL will try to break this limit for the subsequent meetings haha!
Wow... what a long post. So much happened yesterday lol!!
Indulgence in the sweetness of life
Hahas, it's late in the night and I'm up here blogging again. I had my dinner at home as usual so that's not what I'm here to blog about. What's special and really awesome today was what happened before dinner.
My buddy, JL, had transport to travel here to the west side today near where I was so I scheduled for a meet up of course. He had said that he wanted some ice cream from Mac's so we agreed to meet up at Jurong point. I rushed over to Boon Lay Mrt station to meet up with him the moment I was free. When I got there, I had a brain wave. I hadn't been keen on having Mac's ice cream as I didn't really enjoy it. But there was another dessert restaurant here with much more interesting ice cream and a wide variety of desserts! Seeing as it was just before dinner time in the evening, I doubted that it would be filled. I found JL already waiting for me at Boon Lay Mrt station when I arrived. Omg! He had already been waiting here for 45 minutes already! I was super late!!
Upon meeting up with JL, I thus suggested eating at the dessert eatery instead. We then headed for "ji de chi" dessert eatery in Jurong Point. Hahas, I had decided not to change out of my uniform so we were both in uniform. It wasn't long before we finally arrived at the eatery. Hahas, thankfully I was able to find my way there I might add.
Indeed, it was almost empty in the eatery when we got there. We got a table and started flipping through the menu for something to satisfy our cravings for something sweet. It has indeed been some time since I last had any dessert. What could be better an opportunity than to have dessert now with my good buddy JL?
We ordered three different desserts to be shared among us of course! Hahas, we took a long time to decide though as there was really such a great variety and we were spoilt for choice. We wanted to try out everything there was on the menu but knew that we had to save some space in our stomachs for the dinner waiting for us at home. Finally, we ordered two cold desserts and one hot desserts. While waiting for the food to arrive, JL passed me a shirt of his. Hahas, this was in exchange for one of my shirts that I had passes to him recently. Haha... we now each had each other's shirts. This is going to be one of my most treasured possessions. Such a precious gift!
The dessert soon arrived and we tucked into them hungrily. Hahas we shared the desserts out with each other and they certainly tasted really good. We chatted while we had our desserts and it was just so much fun. I guess all the sharing of desserts, chatting while we ate and simply just being in each other's company made our time having the dessert extremely enjoyable and relaxing. Even the dessert tasted much sweeter and better. Hahas, this was just the right way to end off the week!
We soon finished up our desserts and parted ways for home. But.... WE'RE GONNA MEET UP TMRRRR!!!!! Isn't that simply AWESOME?!! Hahaha...

Wow... I'm Hot!!
Heys! I'm blogging once again. This time, it's about an unexpected break from work. Hahas, cause I got sick.
So yesterday was the start of August. And how did I start August of year 2012?
I slept early the night before on the 31st of July thinking I could get more rest. However, I was awaken at around 2.00am yesterday morning on the 1st of August with an aching in my legs. I chose to ignore it though as I really needed my sleep. After much rolling and flipping around, I finally managed to fall asleep. It was about an hour later that I woke up again due to the aching. It was really uncomfortable. Again, I tried really hard to go back to sleep and then I woke up again at 5.00am. This time, I had a splitting headache too. I was then contemplating calling off sick for the day and going to see a doctor as it was soon time to wake up and there was no point in trying to go back to sleep.
Moments later after 6.00am, I took my temperature and was shocked to see that the readings on the thermometer went shooting up way past 37, then 38... finally stopping at 39.4°C!! I've never gotten such a high fever mann!! At least, not that I remember.
I definitely needed to visit the doctor. I sent an sms to my spec telling him I won't be calling in for duties today and then left for the Polyclinic with my Mum who had taken the day off due to my sudden fever. I only left after taking some medication for fever though. After a long wait and a blood test at the Polyclinic, I was confirmed to be having fever, but it was not dengue. Hahas, I had been fearing the worst, that this was the dengue fever that I had been waiting for. I had been bitten by a mosquito with white stripes recently about a few weeks back. Thankfully, this wasn't it. I guess it may never come then.
So I was then given some medication and TWO DAYS MC!!! Hahas, I immediately informed my Spec about it once again. I then left the clinic soon after collecting my medicine which were free of charge as well. I was given medicine for my sore throat, fever and some antibiotics. My fever had subsided to around 36.9°C by then so I was almost cured of fever.
This is day two of my MC and I'm feeling much better now as I blog. My fever is non- existent and my throat is healing really quickly. There is almost no phelgm left already and I feel more comfotable speaking already. Yupp... I'll be heading back for duties tomorrow hahas!
