I bought concession for my NS card after book out today. I had been comtemplating getting concession for my EZ- link for quite some time already having done some calculations and seeing that it will indeed be more worth it to get the concession rate. After making enquries at the counter at the MRT station, I found out that concession is $61 and is valid for a month. My, the daily bus fares have been eating out a huge hole in my pocket! It's way too expensive so i decided to get concession instead. Already my bus fares to and from camp daily add up to more than two dollars daily. Thus, this adds up to way more than $60 a month! Thus, I would certainly spend less if I got concession. I could even take buses more often, even on short trips, which will make buying concession all the more worth it. Hopefully, the bus system is efficient and little time will be wasted in waiting for the buses.
Transportation costs seem to be taking up the bulk of my expenses now so hopefully this helps to reduce expenditure ya?

Breakthrough in tuitioning!
This past Monday, I went over to my cousins' house to give them tuition again
This time I started with some newspaper reading and that got their interest as they started to notice that some articles in the newspaper were indeed worth reading and some were quite interesting too
Then I also brought the newspaper discussion beyond the newspaper article itself and talked about other related incidents which really got their interest and I even cracked some jokes which got the tuition started on a cheerful and less monotonous mood. Their interest level was certainly sustained throughout the whole session this time around without them dozing off hahas!
For today's tuition, with the younger primary school guys, I introduced some reading of individual characters and tones for the chinese words rather than just getting them to read passage after passage and that helped in getting them a little more interested in reading, I even had them do some writing so they really enjoyed it too seeing as they had been giving feedbacks to me that they wanted to do some writing as well.
Hahas, this is certainly a start in getting the tuition sessions more lively and interactive. I surely do hope I can come up with ways to sustain this interest level for future sessions. Well, at least I do think that my "students" have seen that their Chinese tuition sessions need not be monotonous and boring so that's definitely a START!!

Body clock screwed?
Recently, I've been hearing quite a number of my friends complaining that their body clocks are screwed due to NS or just the fact that A levels are over and they are sleeping at irregular hours. Hahaha! I'm no different. I used to need only six hours of sleep but now I get tired easily in the day even with six or seven hours of sleep.
Furthermore, I keep waking up at weird hours in the wee hours of the morning and sometimes can't even remember if it's the weekend or weekdays when I need to get up early to book into camp.
My body clock sure is damn screwed!

We have all grown up...
Had a great meet up with some Sec school classmates just yesterday. It has indeed been quite some time since I last met them up, even though one of them is in the same camp as me. Anyway, so I met up with John and Eugene at Lot 1 as we were going to catch a movie, Woman in Black. I had never heard of that movie before this and much less know what it is about. All that I had been told about it was that it was a horror movie.
During the movie, I began to realise that the "horror" parts of the movie were slowly getting quite predictable due to the camera angles and sound effects. At some points, it even became a little comical as I could see "it" coming. Haha, there was even a point when I heard some laughter coming from somewhere in the cinema. Either that lady was too freaked out that she had gone bonkers, or she was also starting to find it a little comical.
After the movie, we decided to go to a nearby playground hang out and chat. We reminisnced our seconday school days and played around on the slides and swings and what not. It was clear though that we hardly fit. Clearly, we have all grown up...
It was good catching up with both John and Eugene though. Hope to meet them up again soon.

Awesome time clubbing!
Had a really good time clubbing again just yesterday. Well, up until this morning rather! Hahas, I went to Zirca yet again with my Bros! However, the experience this time is truly one to remember. Going clubbing just to sit around for drinks will be a thing of the past after this session. Hahahhah!
So I scheduled to meet up with the guys after book out today as usual and got to Clarke Quay by about 10pm as scheduled. Surprisgly, I was the earliest there when I arrived and so I waited
After quite some time of walking around aimlessly and standing around, one of the guys, I, finally arrived. Although we weren't very close, conversation just flowed between us the moment we met. Haha, we caught up on our lives since after passing out from BMT and time just zipped by. Soon after, we were contacted to go look for some of the other guys who were apparently having a meal in one of the eateries just outside the station. Lols, why didn't anyone tell me? I could have spent my time more efficiently!
On the way to the fast food outlet where the other guys were, I was trying to recall how we used to greet each other. Was it a "Yo!" or a "Hey bro!" or just a handshake? I really couldn't recall. I didn't have to worry though, once I met the other guys, greetings came naturally. My hand came out almost automatically and clapped against the waiting palm of the guys. We sat and chatted and soon were joined by the remaining guys who weren't already there and we proceeded to an area in one of the buildings to have some beer and a game of "I never". After another really fun hour, we then left and made our way to Zirca. I was already quite drunk by then though. The can of beer had really taken effect on me. Only after a couple of mouthfuls and I was already starting to feel my stomach getting really warm and getting a little giddy. I guess that must have been due to not having had alcohol for such a long period of time. Despite me not having to drink at every round of the game, I still forced the whatever remained down my throat. It was too much lol! Thankfully, I wasn't tipsy yet as we made our way to Zirca.
We got our usual seats and this time I didn't control my drinks. I had a goal this time round, I was going to get myself drunk this time. This would be the third time I'm clubbing and I had to get drunk! Already tipsy, I had about five glasses of drinks, which I left to the guys to pour for me, before I started to get giddy. After a while, I just could not sit there any longer as it started to get unbearable sitting down and not moving around. I got up and joined some of the guys heading down to the dance floor.
I then spent the rest of my time there on the dance floor with the guys. Hahahha.... why did I ever think there was not enough space here on the dance floor to dance? I squeezed myself in between the people and found some space. Then I started dancing(more of shaking actually). So much for worrying about being self- conscious and not knowing how to dance, it all came naturally. I just wanted to move around so that I could clear my head. Clearly, I was high!
After being on the dance floor for quite a while, and even having moved around the dance floor and also having gone back to the seats, I was on the dance floor again. This time, I was vaguely aware of pushing or nudging a girl on the dance floor for some reason. I certainly remembered being really irritated with her for no apparent reason. Then, I felt an arm coming out to push me backwards away from the girl but I didn't respond and continued with what I was doing.
Okayy... I needa end off this extremely draggy post! So all in all, I spent almost all my time in the club on the dance floor this time around, much unlike previous sessions. I certainly had much more fun this time and was better able to keep in contact with my Bros! through SMS. Lols! WHY DIDN'T I THINK OF THIS BEFORE? yeah... this was much unlike previous sessions when I just waited at the seats for them to come back from the dance floor. I was also informed that I had been really irritating a girl on the dance floor and so one of the guys who was dancing with me had tried to hold me back. Lols, so that was what I was doing?! I didn't even know what I had been doing lol!
Well, I guess I can say that I got drunk this time round(thankfully nothing major happened!) and danced with a girl? Hahas, more like irritated the girl lolz!
