It's 27th Feb today. A date to remember.
I was really shocked today to get an sms from my former CT to have me give her a call when I was free.
The sms read "Can you give me a call at this no when u r available?"
Then,"Hi xx, I hav been ask by sch to ask if u can share the difficulties that u faced because of your physical conditions and how you overcome them. This is for the Media coverage during release of A levels results. I need to ask your permission b4 I go ahead. Mrs xx CT 10S13"
I was really shocked. Never had such a request been made to me. One part of me was uncertain of what to expect when I made that call thus I didn't really want to call her. The other part of me knew that I had to make that call. Anyways, I still made the call though hesitantly.
After the call ended, I had assured my CT that it was alright to go ahead with the interview and arrangements were made for the reporter to contact me. A series of exchanges of smses and phone calls came after that.
Following that, I was also to apply for compassionate leave on Thursday due to some family incident and thus I had to make a request to my superior through sms once again. Thus, yet another series of phone calls and smses came.
Wow../ I was really busy today just answering phone calls and replying smses. Never had I had so much to do. Still, I like all the attention. Hahas!

Facebook photos
After entering NS, I've certainly seen an improvement in my social life. Hahas, there has been a great surge in FB photos ( from 81 photos to more than 100) and the number of FB friends I have has shot up to more than 360 from just 300. Hahas! Of course I'm going to continue taking more pictures and making more friends from NS mostly.

Shaved!
Had a haircut again just last weekend as I needed to cut my sideburns anyways before we started in our new unit on our ST course. Decided to just shave it all off once again as I really like the way I look botak So as planned, I went to the $10 shop and got my hair shaved off. Whether I do a hair cut or shave, I'd still be paying $10 anyways, So might as well remove more hair to make the money more worth it hahas.
As a result, many of my fellow mates have been asking me why I cut botak again. Haahas, from what I remember, I've given more than five different reasons why I shave my head again. All of them are true though, just different ways of looking at it hahas.

Single can Mingle!
It's Valentine's Day again today!! A day which many couples look forward to and they spend time together in each other's company. For me, and a few other platoon mates, it was a totally different celebration. It was singles night out for us haha! We still didn't have Valentine's hahaha!
So after book out from camp, Marvin, Qi Xiang, Nicholas and me, we went off home and decided to meet up at Plaza Singapura later in the evening. I got home, showered and changed before heading out again. I then took an MRT to Dohby Ghaut station and made my way to Plaza Singapura where I met the other guys and after much walking around, we finally decided to have our dinner at Subway! After a quick dinner and much chatting, we finished up with dunner and then made our way home. Lol... we were intending to spend some more time walking around and chatting but it was really getting late and we still needed to book in to camp again early tomorrow morning. Hahas, but we sure did spend a fun evening together eating and chatting! We also agreed to meet up again next Valentine's Day, just the four of us, should we still be single. Of course I really do want to meet up again with them then, but won't that mean I'm still unattached?!!
Wonder if that's a good thing haha!

Legs are for walking, walking, walking...
I'm blogging again today. This time, it's about me doing lots of walking around my estate. Haha, it has certainly been a fun day. I had planned to go bowling with HX and Vas this morning. Thus, I set off from home at about 11am and took a walk to JE Mrt station to meet up with HX before walking to Chevron's where we were to bowl.
Upon reaching Chevron's, we proceeded to get two games each for HX and myself. Haha, one game of bowling is never enough! It was a fun game for the both of us, a view shared by HX as well. Hahas, at least it wasn't as boring as playing by myself and just having someone to "challenge" and compare scores with was enough to give a great boost to the fun meter!
Another of my platoon mate, Vas, did join us too sometime between our game though he did not play any. We left soon after finishing our games and it turned out to be kind of expensive. I had forgotten that the rates for weekends was more expensive lol. Thus, we did agree to source for other venues for future bowling games hahas! Hmm... Haha, you can tell how much we enjoyed our game today!
After we left Chevron's, me and HX took a bus over to IMM for a walk. Haha, it got boring after a while and so we left. Seeing as the Chevron's bus makes a stop at IMM, we took the Chevron's bus this time. We then got off at Blk 131 and walked over to Jurong East MRT station.
After HX left for home, I then took a bus back home and took a rest before heading out once again. This time, I took a bus back to Chevron's and purchased a new water bottle from the eMart there. Hahas, my previous water bottle had been wrongly taken by someone and I was left with a bottle that wasn't mine. Thus, I wanted to get myself a new bottle lol! After that, I finally made my way home.
Lots of walking around today eh? My legs were really starting to ache by then! Hahas, good exercise though.

Pay Day!
Wow... time sure flies! It's already been one month since I've enlisted and thus its time to get my allowance again. Checked my bank account and volia! It's there. Hahas. I'm already looking forwards to the 10th of March hahahaha!
Hahas, the feeling sure is good man. Since the last time I got my allowance, I've been spending my own money. Money that I've slacked hard to earn! Woots!
However, seems as though I got the full allowance this time round. Well, I guess the allowance before was just a small sum for us to celebrate CNY? Hahas...

Dinner with Platoon 1 guys
Met up with my Platoon 1 bros for our scheduled dinner gathering at Two Chefs Eating Place this evening. We met up first at Commonwealth MRT before taking a bus to the venue. Hahas, our sergeant who was supposed to 'blanjah' us went MIA and thus we were left to 'treat' ourselves to dinner.
Anyways, only about 11 of us turned up so we were all able to squeeze into one table. By the time we got our table, we were already famished. Haha... so we quickly ordered our food which was mainly done by WE and the food arrived pretty quickly. As all of us were guys with huge appetites, the food were all gone in a flash as soon as they arrived! Hahas, not exactly lah! We took our time savouring the delicious dishes and the food sure tasted good. Haha... not too sure why we all felt that the food was super delicious. It could be that we've been too used to eating food from the cookhouse that a change of taste makes the food seem so much more delicious. Well, there was a dish not quite to my liking though. I felt that the chilli crab was too sweet and thus did not taste good to me. However, the other guys enjoyed it all the same.
The food were all quickly cleaned out and some of the guys ordered some Carlsberg, Hahas... itching for some alcohol, I asked for just half a glass of it, Wow! First time I've drunk Carlsberg hahas. We settled the bill soon after as some of the guys needed to leave soon. After throwing some ideas around, we finally decided to make our way to a nearby void deck to slack off a little before we headed home. Upon reaching the void deck, we got out some cards and played a couple of games.
We only left for home at almost 2300. We still needed to book into camp tomorrow morning lols.

Back in touch with the civilian world
I've been looking forwards to yesterday since about a week ago when my classmate J informed me about the gathering for 10S13. Besides being excited though, I've also got to make plans on how I was going to get to M's house after booking out. Seeing as it was during the CNY period, I would also need to bring along mandarin oranges to "bai nian". I finally decided to make my way there straight after book out to maximise my time with my JC frenz.
Thus, I had to make preparations and brought along lots of stuff to camp today. Basically, I brought along lots of plastic bags to keep my stuff separately and of course a change of clothes and shoes plus the mandarin oranges. Hahas, the mandarin oranges were the only problematic ones as I was afraid that they would get squashed before I even got to my frenz house. Thankfully, everything went smoothly and the oranges reached their destination and got their job done. Haha, I even met one of my former juniors at the MRT station on my way to the house. I changed out of uniform once I got to my friend's place. It was a long trip lols.
Hahas, what actually happened was I got off one bus stop earlier and so had some difficulty locating the correct estate. Thankfully after lots of walking around and some asking a group of young kids, I was pointed in the right direction and finally managed to get to my destination. All this time, I was still in uniform mind! It was hot!
So after changing, we sat down for a meal of steamboat. After a really long time, the soup had still not boiled! However, seeing as it had been such a long time cooking, we did take stuff that looked cooked out to eat lols. And I guess that was what gave me a diarrhoea this morning hahas. It was only after M's mother came home that the problem was fixed. The soup had indeed not been boiling lols. Hahas, it was still a good dinner anyways. Haha, but I was just so eager to start at the Mahjong table that I wasn't really concentrating on eating and just trying to clear off as much food as possible so we could start lols. So bad of me haha!
After several rounds of Mahjong, I had lost quite a lot of money lols. Usually this didn't bother me as my aim was to just be able to play Mahjong and I wasn't really mindful of how much I lost. This time though, I was more aware that I was losing more money than winning. I don't know if this is because the money I am using now is my own "income" that I am more conscious and aware lols. Haha, I'm actually feeling the pinch of losing money lols!
We did a couple of rounds of card games too and there were some losses and winnings as well. I couldn't be bothered to count my losses for the day lols. Ignorance is bliss hahas!
M's bro was kind enough to give us a ride to CCK Mrt station after we were done. Thankfully, we made it before the last train lols! It was a fun day haha! Looking forwards to the next Mahjong session and meet- up.
